Taste
This wine is like a mad scientist's experiment - in a good way. You got plum and blackberry holding it down, while rosemary and green pepper are like the wacky assistants. And the mineral? That's the secret sauce. It's like drinking a potion that makes you want to yell, "Eureka!"
Concept
Hatchchild wine is a parody of Château Mouton Rothschild, both in name and art. It's made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and features artwork from Canadian artist Paul Morstad called "Early One Morning". The sheep on the label is a direct reference to both the translation of Mouton (sheep) but also Mouton Rothschild utilizes a Ram in a lot of its imagery. Hatchchild wine pays homage to the greats that came before it, but also adds its own unique twist. It celebrates art, exclusivity, and luxury, but also approachability and fun.
Art
Behold, dear connoisseur of vinous delights, the Hatchchild, a crimson-hued Cabernet Sauvignon whose lusciousness is matched only by the playfulness of its name. A work of art in its own right, the label depicts a magnificently regal ram, standing at attention for its hobo shepherd and his loyal pup. Yet, in its very countenance, there is a hint of mischief, a nod to the wine's cleverly crafted name that pays sly homage to a certain illustrious estate. For within the Hatchchild lies a whimsy that belies its unpretentious nature. It is a wine that inspires joy and conviviality, a spirited companion to nights filled with laughter and camaraderie. So raise your glass, and with each sip, revel in the Hatchchild's subtle tribute to the titans of viniculture, and in the exultant spirit of revelry that it embodies.
